Organisations

Within Luscii, you can use the organisation functionality to distinguish between the main organisation and sub-organisations, such as different locations or branches, and divide them into sub-organisations. It is also possible for a sub-organisation to have its own sub-organisations. Below is an example of how sub-organisations can be used:

Using sub-organisations ensures that patients remain separated between different organisations and locations with which healthcare providers do not have a treatment relationship. Sub-organisations allow healthcare providers to determine which patients, programmes, and protocols they can access.

The administrator of the main organisation has the authority to manage all groups and sub-organisations. In contrast, sub-organisations (Specialism A and B) within a sub-organisation (Location B) can only be created and managed by the administrators of that specific sub-organisation, and not by the administrator of the main organisation.

Patients and healthcare providers in the structure

Healthcare providers are linked to an organisation, while patients are assigned to a group. If a group changes organisation, all patients linked to that group will also change organisation.

You can move a healthcare provider to a different organisation by adjusting the settings in the healthcare provider’s account in Luscii Vitals, under 'Personal details'. However, each healthcare provider can only be linked to one organisation. The administrators of that organisation, or of the overarching main organisation, can change the organisation to which the healthcare provider is linked.

Additionally, healthcare providers can be linked to one or more groups. Groups determine which patients are treated by which healthcare providers. Administrators of the main organisation can place healthcare providers in groups across different sub-organisations, so, for example, a cardiology nurse can view patients in internal medicine when needed.
